Phuket Aquarium was established in 1983 as part of the internationally renowned Phuket Marine Biological Centre a research and monitoring station within the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources. The Aquarium provides a means to communicate research results and to promote environmental awareness.

You will find us easily at the southernmost tip of Cape Panwa on the island of Phuket where we are surrounded by breathtaking scenic bays and islands.

Coral Reef Life

Watch the colourful creatures from Thailand’s coral reefs like seahorses, butterfly fish and of course the anemone fish – the movie star from Finding Nemo.

Tunnel Tank

Giant Groupers

Meet the world’s biggest coral reef fish, They have been living in the aquarium for over 20 years and have reached an impressive size.
